USE IT AS a reading nook, a place to sip your coffee or to simply get some fresh air without the need to look presentable, a balcony might be a big selling point for any house hunter. This week, we’ve scoured the country and found four homes with balconies ready and waiting to be enjoyed.
This large six-bed in Tankardstown spans 270 m² and is located near Drogheda, Ashbourne, Balbriggan and Stamullen. From the tiled porch, there is a living room with an open fire to the left and then a large open plan kitchen and dining room. It has a central island, granite worktops along with a Rangemaster, while another sitting space has a solid fuel stove and a bar.
Three bedrooms sit downstairs and three sit upstairs with main bedroom on each floor with its own bathroom. The rooms inside comprise a formal lounge as well as a cosier sitting room. The kitchen is also relatively new and fitted with high-end appliances and lots of storage. There is also a guest toilet and a utility room on this floor.
Upstairs, the main bedroom has a balcony that looks over the gardens as well as an en suite bathroom. The three remaining bedrooms share the family bathroom. There is also a garage on the grounds which is currently being used as a home office. Location-wise, Ardee is 8 km away and home to schools of both levels while the M1 connecting to Dublin is 15km away.
